Hi, i have a pretty crappy computer to start off and i want to upgrade to a gtx 750ti

My specs now:
Gtx 8800gt ($8)
Intel core 2 e8500 ($13)
4gb ram
370w psu

I want to upgrade to a gtx 750ti. I seen videos on it and it works fine but i want to be sure. Will i be able to run games on any settings on games such as
Gta V
Arma 3
Dayz
Battlegrounds

If not do you guys have any recomendations.
Thanks

If money is an issue, then you probably can get away with low settings and 720p, or even lower. But don't expect amazing quality. Games WILL stutter here. So frustration may be an issue here.
You can run games, but that dual core will sturggle in some games. Those videos probably had a quad core, or change the resolution to 720p and low settings. I would also recommend upping your memory. You may want to consider saving up and coming up with a better computer as well.

For the most part, the types of games you seem to want to play need a newer dual core w/hyperthreading(ie an i3) or a quad core of some kind. There ARE games that will run decently with that CPU and a 750 Ti but not something like GTA V. With a dual core and 4gb system ram you're going to see choppy framerate.

So either be realistic about the games you want to play, or save your money for a newer computer. A Sandy Bridge era quad core, like an i5 2400, would be where you should start looking. Older than that is not worth it now, newer than that is not necessary for a budget gaming PC.

I mean, that CPU dates from 2008. You really think you're going to play and enjoy the most popular games today with that? Why would anyone buy newer CPUs if that was possible?
