Some of the newer Nvidia cards, like the 1050 Ti, can require a UEFI bios to install. Your system predates this kind of bios. So I would contact Gigabyte and ask them if their card has such a requirement.
As to bottlenecking, I think that with the exception of titles like Battlefield 1 and Ghost Recon Wildlands, you should do alright.
