Hi Guys
I have just completed a pc build.
MSI Z270 SLI plus mobo
I7 7700K CPU
GTX 1080 TI GPU
Intel 600p SSD 512 GB
My Problem is the following.
I have my ssd installed in the m.2 slot, the bios and board see it.
Intel RST does not, and in the ssd toolbox trim is greyed out.
windows disk management says connection unknown.
I have win 10 pro, but when I try and set my bios to win 8/ win 10 whql and disable win 7 my pc only boots to the bios and not to windows. My windows 10 is a free upgrade from win 7, is there any thing I have to do to make the bios see it as a windows 10 installation? I think that is why my m.2 nvme 600p is not being seen by rst.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have searched for over a week for a solution online.

Not sure, but this is what I think:
If you did upgrade from 7, your disk is probably not using GPT. When you switch in BIOS to Win 10whql, it looks for GPT partition to boot, and if you don't have it, it can't boot to Win. Same would be true for RST.
If I'am right, you would need to switch BIOS to W10 whql and after that make clean install on SSD. Make sure you have your Windows license tied to MS account in case of re-activation problems (although it should not happen, as you would not change motherboard).

Thanks for that..I was hoping that there would be an easier solution, the thought of having to re download and install all my apps sucks :(..but I will give it a go. at the moment the ssd is formatted in mbr, I did a disk transfer using aoemi. Well I am installing a toshiba xg3 tomorrow, so I will do everything from scratch. Thanks again for replying.
