I have 2 boot SSD's in my PC (windows7 and windows 10). Windows 7 boots fast (boot, restart, restart). Windows 10 boots fast (boot, restart, restart). However, when I boot Windows 7 after booting Windows 10, it takes several minutes with heavy I/O. What could be causing this problem? Booting Windows 10 after Windows 7 is no problem.

Solution
Resolved --- "Turn on fast startup" had gotten reset (checked) in the Control Panel. Once un-checked, I can boot Windows 7 quickly after a Windows 10 boot. Apparently the Windows 10 Creators Update reset this entry.

Yes. I had the same problem when I initially installed Windows 8 on the second SSD. I found and reset the "fast boot" option. When I upgraded the SSD to Windows 10, I don't remember if I had to reset the "fast boot" option, or if the update kept the setting. However, when I updated to the Windows 10 Creators Update, it apparently reset (checked) the "fast boot" option. I have not un-checked that option in Windows 10 and Windows 7 now boots fine.
