New graphics card = broken computer. Help!

I just bought a gtx 980, computer was working fine before with a
Code:
GTX 770 and the now after I installed the GTX 980 I got a black screen I took out GTX 980 and installed DVI to the motherboard and I still get a black screen this also happens with my GTX 770 now
I5 7500
Tx750
Msi h110m gaming
Dual channel 4 gb dDr4
Also my cdrom isn't being picked up by mobo so I didn't install drivers and I can't do that

I get a feeling that it's because I didn't download drivers . But I also think I needed to remove the old ones. Saw this from other threads . I also tried clearing the cmos.
