Question from NDDU Julius BSIT : "Lower disk usage from Windows update"

I will re post this since no one seemed to check my other post regarding this issue...
How can I lessen the Disk Usage of Windows services running on the background? It's pretty annoying because I need to do some work now and I can't use it without raging out in anger due to stuck ups. Looked at task manager, The largest disk usage came from Windows services

you just fresh installed, windows needs to gather extra things that aren't on the installer, like apps and drivers. IT will get better after a few days.

Can you post screenshot from Resource Monitor - Disk tab - Disk Activity section (order by column total)?

Generally you just have to wait until windows update finishes it's job. But there might be something else going on also.

  2. As to 'no one seemed to check' perhaps people looked but the minimal amount of information provided didn't help, perhaps waiting more than 2 hours for people to respond? This is a volunteer provided mechanism, you'll get answers when you get them.

Sorry about that I had some deadlines to follow so I was on crunch time.
Anyways I think its a problem for Windows 10 to really manage its resources that well yet.
I hope Microsoft patches these performance issues soon its pretty annoying

This problem with windows update high hard drive activity occurs only with OS installed on a mechanical hard drive.
With OS on SSD you wouldn't notice these kinds of problems.
