Would this build work?

I have never built a computer before and after 1/2 months of research I would like to make sure that everything's good.
- Do I need to buy any extra cables?
- Do all these parts fit in this case?
- What change(s) would you suggest (around the same price)

MoBo: MSI Z270-A PRO
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GT OCV1
CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K
CPU cooler (AIO): Corsair Hydro H60 (2013 edition)
RAM: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400 Red
PSU: Corsair CX650M
CASE: Cooler Master N300 Window
STORAGE: ADATA Ultimate SU800 256GB 256GB

do I miss anything?
Thanks :)

  1. H60 there are far better air coolers out there half the price
  2. What's your budget?
You can do way better in terms of performance for the money.
    CPU is also outdated.

What cooler do you recommend? (for overclocking a few mhz)

What sorta build were you thinking of?
  5. I don't know what funds you have to work with, or what local prices might be like where you're from.
If you're not from the UK, US, Germany or Australia/NZ i'm gonna need a country and local retailers.
  6. As mentioned, the cpu is outdated. The Ryzen 5 1600 is about 10-20% cheaper and comes with a cooler that is capable of an overclocked 1600. Comparing prices in the UK, the i5 6600k is £210 and the Ryzen 5 1600 is £194, both prices taken from Amazon. And then if u scrap that cooler, as u get one already in the box, that is £70 less. I mean, with those savings, you can improve RAM or GPU if you still want to be looking at the same price tag. Motherboard with same entrances can be brought with the AM4 socket also. When it comes to cost-efficient gaming, the Ryzen 5 1600 is the better way to go. And 1600 over 1600x, because they both have pretty much the same overclock performance at 4GHz.

Alright, so what motherboard do you think I should take this fits all of this and has around the same features of this z270?
  8. Give me your budget in local currency and the retailers you're using and i'll set you up with the whole lot all sorted.

I live in the Netherlands, I'm using the website megekko.nl
It has to be around €1000.
    Thanks for offering this :)
  10. Would you be okay with using komplett.nl?

Preferably not but it's about the parts list and not about which website I order it from is it? :p
  12. Well they tend to have the best prices and good shipping costs, so it'd be optimal to get the most out of your budget.
  13. Under budget from the site mentioned ,
you are going to need some secondary storage though IMO.

Swap the ssd for the WD blue though.
    It's a better drive , same price.
  14. Revised , including a 1tb secondary drive in budget.

I actually want to stick to ssd only so I'll spend some more on that.
I keep thinking about what if intel comes out with a new good processor and I'm stuck with the am4 motherboard,
Or is that an unrealistic thought?
I kind of feel like sticking to intel and nvidia.. :/

Funnily enough it is intel that often changed sockets. AMD have stated they want to continue to build processors for the AM4 socket. Lets not forget this is the ryzen 5 1600. You have Ryzen 7 ahead of it with ryzen 7 1800x easily being able to do any game high setting at casual screen resolutions.
