INSTALLING H100i V2 backplate-->LOOSE

I'm installing the H100i V2 onto a Sabertooth z77 + i7 3770k. The back plate is on with the proper standoffs but there is a lot of play between the BACK of the motherboard and the backplate. I am using the proper standoffs according to the instructions. Is this normal? There were no spacers of any kind that i see. Did i miss a step or forget something? Certainly this cant be normal...
 
Solution
The nuts on the back plate, that the hexagonal screw posts fasten to, should not protrude above the top surface of the motherboard like this:

It should look like this before you screw in the hexagonal screw posts:

You can remedy this problem by adding metal or nylon spacers as shown here:

There are multiple threads on Corsair's own forum about this problem. It causes the CPU temperature to be higher than it should be for that cooler.

well i went forward and put on the thumbscrews and that seems to have eliminated the play. Not sure how that works but it does. Thanks for the quick reply.

wow thats good to know. I have another gaming machine with liquid cooling that is overheating. I will have to check that off of my list.
