Hello.
I have a laptop, ASUS FX553VD.
GTX 1050, 2 GB
8GB RAM
i7 7700HQ
Windows 10 64 Bit (Anniversary Edition)
(The laptop is new, bought it last week)
Now, I know that GTX 1050 isn't really a high end card. Its a mid end card, enough for 30 FPS 1080p gaming.
But, CS:GO, on 1080p, lowest graphical settings, give me just 80-120 FPS!
Now, I know that 100 FPS is actually enough but I am almost sure that I can FEEL the lag. And I think there is a little input lag too though I cant really tell.
Somebody help please?

Solution

This makes sense; to do this, go into your nVidia control panel and find the "Manage 3D Settings" page. On that page, from the dropdown menu, find CS:GO (hl2.exe) and then in the settings in the box below should be an option to pick which GPU it uses. I'm not currently on a laptop, and my laptop is an AMD GPU at that, so I don't know exactly what it looks like.

Screen tearing, for those who can actually see the difference between 60 and 120 FPS, is seriously disorienting and can impact your performance...

Okay sure. But, my friend has a GTX 560 and gets around 200 FPS on low and even his processor is a lot weaker than mine. Shouldn't I get at least 250 on low?

Are u sure u are playing on your graphic card, not on integrated graphics in your cpu? U should have waaay more than 80-120 fps.
And also, never activate v-sync in cs go. Screen tearing is screen tearing, not a lag...

I agree, but most of cs go players will choose 300fps witch screen tearing than 60fps without it. We will do everything for faster response time. :F
But in other games, yea, I always turn v-sync on.
