Hello guys,

Last year I bought the GTX 980 Ti SC ACX from EVGA and can say that is a hell of a card!!!

Run everything great so far at 1080p and 1440p, however, now I got myself a 4k display and really would like to play at a reasonable fps on that screen. If i play at 1440p, the card still has power, I can achieve around 45-55 fps on the new games such as Prey, Nier and Resident Evil 7...but I still have that feeling that I could be enjoy more if I play in 2160p (4k).

My current rig have a mobo Gigabyte Sniper B5 with Intel Core i7 4770k, 16GB RAM DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz, 750w Corsair TX PSU and the GTX 980 Ti..

I am considering to sell my card that is in perfect shape and get something new to achieve at least 55-60 fps in 4k...but in this case I will be loosing a lot of money since the GTX 9 series is outdated...

So, based on the reviews and benchmarks that I watched so far, I have come to a few conclusions but don't know exactly which one is the best price/benefit option:

The first one is not sell my card and get another GTX 980 Ti and put both on SLI, I could get a second hand card but in good shape with a reasonable price and the perfomance is pretty good stabilizing at 55-60 fps in 4k, based on Youtube videos.

The second one is to get a SLI for GTX 1070, based on Youtube benchmarks, the fps are pretty much close to the 55-60fps in 4k.

The third and the most expensive one is to get a GTX 1080 Ti, but a single card could manage the close 60 fps...

Which option is the best in my case? Could you guys help me?

Also, if you have any other recomendations and best solutions please let me know!

Thanks guys,

Cheers, xD
