Hi,

I am planning to upgrade a very outdated CPU. I am changing my motherboard and processor (preferrably to anything that would suit an AMD A8 or A10 series). Hopefully, I can also add another 2GB RAM.

I am definitely keeping my 2TB hard drives (split into 750GB, 1TB and 250GB), my 2 2GB RAM and if possible, my Nvidia graphics card (I can't recall the modl though).

My previous motherboard was ECS MCP61M-M3.

You might be better off getting a cheep AM4 motherboard, Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 3 and DDR4 2400 to 3000 MHz depending on price. I wouldn't recommend getting an A8 or A10 if you are not going to use the onboard graphics (APU) and FM2+ is a dead chipset. DDR4 prices are a little nuts now I would wait till they start dropping in price again. Bought 32GB's of DDR4 3400Mhz for $175 about a year ago. Its getting hard to find 16GB's and same speed for that price now. You can still use your GPU, HDD, power supply, and case as well and can upgrade easier in the future if needed.

Thanks! Do you have a model you can recommend? I am open to Intel too, as long as it wouldn't cost much. My budget is less than $220 for the board and processor.
