8GB or 16GB Modules?

I am going to install 64GB of RAM in an ASUS X99 Deluxe II motherboard. It has 8 DIMM slots and supports up to 128GB. Is it better to install 8 X 8GB modules or 4 X 16GB modules? There is no recommendation in the manual.
