Hello everyone,

So, at the moment I have my 7700k overclocked at 5Ghz and 1.500 Volts, but I'm sure that It is unstable once I overclock it to 5.1Ghz on the same voltage, I'm thinking to add an extra 50volts in that case "1.550" Volts that's my max voltage that my motherboard supports for my i7 7700k... What can I do? should I overclock it to 5.1Ghz at that 1.550 volts since my cooling is sufficient enough?

My CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2
My Motherboard: MSI Z170A Tomahawk
My Thermal Paste: Arctic Silver MX-4
My Idle Temps: 37-39 average

1.5VOLTS????!?!! That's insane. You either got very lucky on the silicon lottery( one in a million), or your CPU will burst in flames soon. As the guy above me said, keep a fire extinguisher next to you..
Keep it down to 1.4V if you want your CPU to live enough for that overclock to be worth it.

Welp, after asking this question in this thread. I ran a coretemp program, and did a cinebench rendering stress test and the temps were really close to 100c now I'm on 4.7Ghz at 1.350volts and around 78c to 74c average during full load, and that's my max overclock performance which my CPU can handle in a safe state.. I have been running on that volts since 2 weeks I haven't seen any flames bursts yet so not even now since It's much safer. no extinguisher needed sir!
