I found a couple threads around the web with the same question but no real clear answer IMO. I got an InWin 805 Infinity case and a Asus Maximus IX Hero motherboard. The case has a 3 pin with the middle of the 3 pin as blank. While my motherboard supports only a 2 pin power led.

Not only that, the panel on the mobo is labeled as PLED, PWRBTN up top then HDLED, RESET on the bottom. My pins for the case are labeled as HDD LED, POWER LED(3pin), POWER LED(2pin), and POWER SW.

Anyone have some insight on how to plug these properly?

Hello... plug the wires in the MB first... without the connector as a "simple test" so you know the correct pin locations for the connector (housing) re-pinning.

It's common to have to re-wire OR re-pin some cases to some MB's... you are just growing with experience here with LED polarity and de/re-pinning connectors... take your time here and you can do it, and hopefully learn something B )
Hello... so your case LED power connector socket pins (location) do not line up with any of the MB's 2 or 3 male pin MB power LED locations?

Typically it is very easy to de-pin any of these connectors... and re-locate them... Or change the connectors for them. There will be a side 'tab" to push in with a small tool to release the socket from the connector... push the wire slightly forward to "clear" the Tab and release the pin.

Led's have polarity to them... so you need to determine which one goes to which MB pin to have it operate properly... plug the wires in without the connector as a "simple test" so you know the correct connector (housing) re-placement.

I can try to relocate one of the side pins to the blank center on the 3 pin Power LED but then I am still confused on where exactly it lines up on the mobo panel. Ive never had a mobo labeled differently like this.
