Hello!

I just upgraded to a new internet package, which is 150mps download. When setting it, I plugged the modem into my computer ran a test and got 150 mb download, what I expected. My main computer that I use is up-stairs, therefore I use a powerline adapter to get internet to the computer, so when I ran a test on that computer I got 50 Mb download, which I expected since my computer is not directly plugged into the modem/router. Yet today my internet seemed slow, so I ran a test and it was 15 mb download. I switched off the router for 30 seconds did the same with the modem, turned off my computer yet it still was slow. I wasn't streaming anything or downloading anything, though even if I was I don't see how it would drop that low. I have had this problem in the past and is really frustrating. What is the problem here? Do I need to contact my isp?

Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Check the internet speed with the computer that is directly plugged into your modem. If you are not getting speed as per your plan on that computer then you should contact your ISP.
