Monitor won't display anything when I connect my VGA cable to it..

I recently bought a Nvidia geforce GT 730 for 5k. Plugged it into the slot but the monitor wasn't displaying anything. I thought it might be graphic card's fault...so then I connected my CPU with TV through HDMI port and my PC was working fine and also the graphics card. Installed the drivers and tested it on games and it worked like charm. But after that when I connected it to the monitor back again ,there was no display...I Dnt know why was that happening..any solutions?
My PC specs -
Processor - Intel i3 3rd gen
4 GB ram
Gigabyte mobo 3.2 GHz
Nvidia geforce GT 730
Is it due to the VGA port?.. Alsoci tested my monitor, it works fine, can anyone suggest any solution?

If you have a vga port on the graphic card then it would not be necessary but as you are returning it . why to waste on an adapter. The rx 460 on ebay at rs 6000 or an used 750 ti will be your best bet. Or get the used r7 260x at rs 4500 . its the beast for the price. Its actually a good idea to buy from ebay. just look for ebay sellers review and if they are good then you are good...

Well, DId you connect your vga cable into the graphic card ? make sure you did because if you connected it to mobo then it will not work out.

If you have bought your gt 730 just now then i would suggest you to got and return it quickly if possible. Get gt 1030 from amazon.in at same price. You will have a lot better performance than that. Its released just now out there.

Dude thanks for reply....I did connect my VGA cable to my graphics card VGA port... And the graphics card is also working properly...bt is gt 1030 the same price as 730?...actually its been 3 days since bought this GPU...what shud I do?..return it and buy new one or any other solution?

gt 730 is a very old card and gt 1030 is a new card and released just now in India, its around same price but is better than gt 730. I recommend you to return your card and wait few days and the card will be at rs 5000 for sure. get it . Check out other sites like mdcomputers.in , theitdepot.com, primeabgb.com, hardwire,in for cheaper prices. :)

OK I will see to this about 1030....bt now can this GPU returned after 3 days...?...and can u tell what could be the problem with my monitor and y it is not displaying when GPU is connected to it.?

well the returning matters from where you have bought it. Make sure you have inserted the graphic card properly into the motherboard. and go to bios and try disabling integrated gpu. Can i know how did you check your gpu that its working?

I already disabled the integrated graphics...I actually tested my GPU by connecting it with TV through HDMI cable...and it worked fine also the device manager shows that the GPU is properly installed...I also played games and it was working fine...

well, try changing your vga cable ? borrow one from your friend to test it?

feels like a faulty vga slot cause if hdmi works then it should too . Kinda weird but i think a replacement would work it out, but if you return and get 1030 when it gets available from brands like zotac , I think you should get that. Its a lot powerful than gt 730 as gt 1030's performance is less than 750ti by 10-20%.

It never happened that I received any faulty product from amazon...even though my GPU isn't even completely faulty...only the port I guess...I think I have to confirm the returning decision

It happens sometimes. I Want to know which games you really want to play because gt 1030 too is not that powerful. A 750 ti was a great card till last year till the pascal gtx 1050ti came out. If you really want an enjoyable experience then i would suggest you to go for it .Going for gtx 1050 ti or rx 460 minimum will help a lot.

I was going for the r7 240 1-2 years back then the guys at tomshardware helped me choosing a right gpu. Learned a lot of stuff since then. then i went for an 750ti but still it was costly and was in the same place like you. Went to ebay and found a used R7 265 for rs 7000 which is powerful than 750ti by a 2-5% but consumes double power. I had the exact specs like you and it was an awful experience, even with i3 and r750ti(r7 265) i hardly enjoyed gta5, bf4, etc. You actually need to get a whole new cpu instead of the gpu upgrade.

If you get on something like rx 460(the new cheaper version of 750ti) or 1050ti then i would tell you that you can get a used i5-2500 for rs 5000 which will blew up your performance and you can sell your i3 for rs 3500 immediately on ebay as i did. The performance gain is awesome. get the cheapest 4gb ram 2 kit (total 8) at around rs 1500-1600 wherever possible cause 8gb rams have got a lot costlier. and can't be found below rs 3500 while i got a hands on at rs 2400 without deals year back.,

OK I can't replace my whole CPU....I have a very tight budget. I was going to buy 750 ti for 12k on amazon (Asus) but my dad strictly said no. And I can't use used products as they have no guarantee of working. Actually I wanted to play a bit of heavy games like the assasins creed series , GTA 5 , Cod modern warfare, and cod's other titles , NFS 2013(it has mind blowing graphics) , halo , mortal kombat x and much more. I always wanted to play these games bt mg GPU never supported. Previously I had amd HD 5450, a very low end card. 2-3 years back I didn't know much about GPU's so I thought this GPU might be good. But then I realised I could have got much better GPU than this and now I have got the chance.
Sry I cant replace the whole CPU but can u tell another GPU as the same price as gt 730 and also more powerful than gt 730 ? I think u told me gt 1030 . But will it support my CPU ?
I can give you the specs,
Monitor - max resolution is 1366x768 and is VGA type. Company - AOC
CPU - i3 processor 3rd gen 3.2 GHz. PCI express 3.0 . Company - Gigabyte
Let me know will it support or not and also suggest me some other GPU in the range of 5-7 k which could support my PC.

Well, if you get used parts at ebay , they give you seller warranty and if a part doesnt work then you get a option to return it if you want buts its better than to be on that i3 you have. you will notice 20-40% more power with an i5-2500. You can sell your i3 there too for rs 3500-4000 in a week. Make sure you get a good cooler before that. :) stock ones are bad for that i5.

well gt1030 will run at any pc you throw in mostly.as its just a 30w card.
Gtx 750ti is not an 12k card. its for rs9000 and gtx 1050ti for the same price outperforms it by a large margin.

If you can't go for gtx 1050 or ti then at least go for rx 460 which will help you get enjoyable experiences. :) Nfs 13 feels good in graphics but don't fall for its bad night only game play..

You can get an used 750ti for around rs 6000. This will surely be your best buy Link

OK I will see about your suggestions....within 2-3 days I am going to return it and buy a new one as u have suggested some. Also can u tell that should I test my GPU with a VGA to HDMI converter...coz in morning on amazon site I saw a person with same problem. So I reviewed his solution and it said that for VGA u need a converter. So I am asking...
