Please help!

Whenever I try to transport my image and video files from the sd card to my computer, the library keeps crashing! Though I can manage to transport the files after several tries, it really is a pain to do that.

Is there a solution for this or should I get a new sd card?

Solution
ESD affecting a memory card? Very unlikely & I've never heard or read of that happening - - not anywhere.
I think you can pass on that possibility Platina.

More likely it's memory chips are corrupt, but that isn't caused by ESD. It's just a symptom of the technology, especially on the cheaper brands.

Just buy a new card - - SanDisk or Lexar recommended.

Instead of a crash message, the Library just suddenly shuts down and restart again. The pictures and videos I try to transport keeps getting errors while a few others work when it is the same type as the ones that get the errors. It's weird.

Hello... Could you be adding your bodies "static" charge to the files/data as you transport the SD card from one place to the other... I'm sure this could influence the material/chips inside that small plastic housing under the right (wrong?) conditions... as a "simple test" place the SD card in some "Anti static" wrap or container between trips? and discharge yourself before using/handling B /

Hello... Maybe then micro wave transmission radiation... Or a X-Ray machine in the "transport" of such SD card B /

I've seen "cost reductions" made to products that involved buying/using cheaper plastics with reduced electrical properties... causing re-calls...it happens B /

Humidity during the 'transport of such device can be a factor...
