Hello everyone!

I currently own a PC with the following components:
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2
Motherboard: A79T DELUXE Socket AM3
RAM: 2x4GB Kingston DDR3 MHz 1333
2x2GB OCZ
Harddisk: 2 x WD Caviar Black 500GB HDD 7200rpm 3.0Gb/s serial ATA sATA 32MB cache 3,5Zoll intern
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX
AMD Radeon HD 7800
Thermaltake Armor+ Case (Big tower)

Now I want to upgrade my PC by purchasing a new Graphicscard, a MOBO and a new AMD CPU, and have some questions I hope some experts can answer me:

1- Which CPU and MoBo do you recommend to me from AMD (specially after the ZEN serie has been published), for Video editing, the newest games and all around office works?

2- Which GPU Card do you also recommend for me for the same purposes as I mentioned in Q1 , plus VR and AR purposes and games? (specially after the new AMD GPUs that have been released recently)

3- Should I change other components like the RAM, HDD or the PSU to match my new upgraded components or mine will work just fine and no need to change anything else?

4- When the new MoBo has USB3, and install it in my current case (which I think it doesn't contain front USB3 outputs but USB2) will the USB3 be useless and switch the USB2 or the front USB of the case has nothing to do with that? Do you recommend me to also buy a new case for that matter if it occurs ?

I will be very thankful for any comment or help.

1 - ryzen 5 1600 with a asrock b350 pro 4 mobo

2 - the rx 580 is a very good pair with the ryzen 1600, however amd cpu's are not very good for VR, if this is very important to you then you are going to need to get an intel setup

3 - ryzen needs ddr4 ram, your psu is fine you can also reuse your hard drives

4 - buy a usb3 front panel, the asrock b350 pro 4 has 8 USB 3.0 (1 Type-C, 2 Front, 5 Rear)

Seeing as you are in no dire need of an upgrade (seriously the PC isnt half bad), Id tell you to either get a:

Ryzen 5 chip with an AM4 motherboard (keep in mind you will need DDR4 RAM)

Or, if youre going Intel, Pentium G4560 (budget) with the corresponding LGA1150 motherboard to upgrade later

Depending on your budget, you have a lot of Mid range- High end VR GPU's to choose from. I'd reccommend the RX 570/580, or the cheaper 1050ti (cheaper) , but keep in mind, your current GPU isnt a huge problem

Good luck and happy building :)
