The s12g is a DC-DC platform, the other s12's are old group regulated designs.

Don't get me wrong the s12 is still a great PSU.
But at $15 extra I'd honestly taken the g series one , its a lot better PSU.

Its essentially an evga GS with a better fan but non modular for $30 less.

Not the same , the s12g has better voltage stability and build quiality.

but i mean , this wont matter to you because the s12ii is already way to good for what you need.
