Fan Question (I SCREWED UP)

While ordering parts for my new build I mistakenly thought that my new case can support a 140mm fan in the back, when in reality it only supports 120mm.

Phanteks p400s TGE
i5 7600k @ 4.8GHz
H100i V2 (front mounted as intake)
STRIX 980

So now I'm wondering if a single Corsair AF120 in the rear will be enough exhaust. Also would you recommend the quiet or performance edition, seeing as this will be the only exhaust fan.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm committed to Corsair when it comes to fans. Have always performed well for me in the past and no reason to switch. Never heard of Cryorig before, and can't stand the look of Noctuas. Yes, aesthetics do matter when I put as much money into my system as I do. That being said, I love and use noctua fans and heatsinks in builds I've done where they will not be visible.

So yeah, quiet or performance edition for solo 120 exhaust?

You've lost me here.
That case comes with 2 x120mm fans.
On the off chance you've fitted the rad while still keeping a seperate front fan in you should still have the rear fan fitted ??

Are you saying you're completely unwilling to use the phanteks fans that came in the case ?? That's kind of nuts IMO.
Corsair fans are average at best anyway.
Why not put the 140mm you've bought in the top??
I think you need more than a single exhaust personally when you have a 240mm aio as a front intake.

Yes Noctua does make black fans, all of which cost over $30 each, plus tax and shipping. Not willing to spend that much on them unfortunately.

I checked out Cryorig by the way, they seem like good performers. Some report them to be very loud as well.

I don't see why liking Corsair fans is a bad thing. They are priced and perform reasonably well.

I didn't say corsair fans were plain bad , just average unless you pay for the more expensive ones.

What I don't get is there are 2 fans preinstalled in that case , I don't understand why you wouldn't keep the rear phanteks one in & for the corsair top rear.
2 exhausts are better than one & there is nothing wrong with phantek fans at all.

Ah sorry it was the person below you initially that made the Corsair comment.

I may end up using those Phanteks fans after all. Had all my parts ordered over the last few days but am starting to realize that I may not have thought everyone out as much as I initially thought I did.
