This whole thing is a little convoluted but I am just hoping someone has an answer on how to fix it.
A while ago I got a 580. I normally run linux and it was nice to see that I could finally use AMDGPU as my driver stack after waiting so many years. My upgrade was from a 370, and the AMD drivers were already installed on windows 7 (and the back of the box and all the notation I find says that the card is supported in 7).
However, when I got a beta key for Quake Champions I excitedly jumped over to install it and a few other things and found that it didn't run. In fact NO games run. When I went to try windows 10 things ran fine until last night where it started doing the same exact thing! No games will start.
Some of the errors I get are like "DirectX experienced an error. Make sure your drivers are up to date!" or "A 3D Graphics card could not be found. Please contact your hardware manufacturer" or, in the case of Age of Empires 2... "Could not initialize draw system: error main.cpp(312)" I imagine if I know what that error actually meant I could fix this whole problem but no one else seems to know what it means.
Now I have reinstalled OS to no avail, I have reset my bios, and that seemed to work on 10, but I need 7 (more on that in a moment), I have reset drivers, reinstalled games..... I'm on a completely fresh install of W7 and have all of my DX packages in here, I don't understand what could be going wrong. I need 7 because I have 1 wireless card that I want to use. I don't have PCIe slots available on my board for another one and all the USB ones I try go to 4.5 up and down and do nothing more than that (whereas the one I want to use has gone to the maxe of my internet connection). I can't use 10 with this wireless card, nor 8/.1, because the systems kernel panic and crash. I'd use a newer system if my wireless card was useable (TP-Link WN751ND).
So, if anyone has any ideas to try I am open to all. Its not a big deal as I am predominantly a linux user but I'd like to play Quake Champions....
Thanks
Edit: Heres a video of what its doing.
