AIO fail safes?

I want to fit AIO closed loop cooling solution's to future builds but hearing horror stories of the pumps stop working I would like to know if there are any fail safes built into them that alert the user of this predicament.

Is there software included that will pop up on the desktop and or will the system shut down itself.

depends on your motherboard but if the pump stop spinning and and its a model that plugs into and reports the pump speed to the motherboard. then you would get a low fan speed warning just like if a fan fails. not all motherboards/AIO combinations will do this.

the second fail safe will just be the cpu temp warning cpu throttling and cpu shutdown features of the cpu and the motherboard itself.
