My PC is overheating even after changing the fan and reapplying thermal paste.

Lately, my PC has been shutting down or restarting by itself without any warning. I did a couple of tests and narrowed down the problem to my PC overheating. My CPU is an Intel Core i7 4790, and based on many online sources, the normal temperature ranges from 45 to 65 degrees celsius. I arranged an appointment as I had extended warranty and they helped me to change my PC's fan, reapply thermal paste, and change my hard disk (confirms this is not a hardware problem). However, I am still having the same problems despite all of these hardware changes. Could anyone please tell me any possible reasons this is happening (eg. CPU, motherboard failing). Thanks

My PC specs:
Acer Predator G3-605
Intel Core i7 4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745

Im having a similar problem, i managed to reduce the maximum temperature reappliyng the thermal paste and adding one more intake fan, but im still around 78ºC. however my idle temperatures are around 38 or 39ºC.
Do you have a clean windows install? because it could be the case that you have a virus or some app which is making the processor to work always at 100%.

My PC doesn't overheat when it's idle, and stays around 50-60ºC. It only starts to heat up whenever I start running apps and softwares. However, the main problem I am having is that my PC did not use to act this way before and only started to overheat during the past few months, so I am trying to figure out what is causing this problem.
I can confirm this is not due to a software problem as my hard disk was just replaced yesterday, so it should be due to another hardware malfunction, since I have already replaced my fan and thermal paste.
