AMD vs Intel, lets go!!! Thoughts on each build. Prices are all current except for the Biostar board, I'm not really interested in OC'ing the chips, thus the 65w choices for the chips to keep the temps down as these rigs are being put in a node 202, b/c I love that case. As for a GPU, I currently have a GTX 1070, but I didn't include that in the builds b/c I'll be replacing that eventually with a blower GPU, 1080 TI or Vega, unsure, waiting on the temps for Vega to decide on that. Will be building probably around August or September.

Both very nice builds and I cannot find one reason why you'd go wrong with either. Obviously, I'm going to say if you are Gaming only and nothing else, get the i7, but I'd naturally reccommend going with the Ryzen, as its superior in practically everything else. As for Vega, my hopes arent as high any more, but I'd definetley wait for Vega/Volta to release for the Prices to drop
Good luck and Happy building :)

Do those PS's fit in the node 202? As for the ram speed I just picked w/e was cheapest per GB and those two happened to be the choices :D

OP requires SFX PSU for his Case!

Really the choice between the builds is Gaming I7 will do better but productivity where the extra threads on the Ryzen come in play it would be my choice. Actually if considering Ryzen for gaming the the Ryzen 5 is a better choice and cheaper than the I7.

I was just reading about Intel bumping up the release of Coffee Lake to as early as August to get their 6 core CPU's on the market, if that's true come August the Intel build will be completely different :O

That is true and with the advance in tech answering now would be a speculation at best since prices change and new stuff comes on the market.
