Hey guys. I've had this problem since I've created my PC in 2014. My PC overheats every time I play an intensive steam game or undergo a long gaming session such as Overwatch and Pubg. I'm not sure what the source of the problem is at this point, but I've tried numerous solutions which just haven't worked.

Edit: Components (sorry forgot to include em)

First off, name all solutions you have tried.

Secondly, any overclocks you have done, reset them to stock, increase fan speed if it's low and doesn't give reliable temps.

Thirdly, get a temperature monitoring program, such as Realtemp to monitor temperature, if the temps are above 80 Degrees Celsius ( Centigrade ) without any overclocks, i'd suggest re-mounting your CPU Cooler.

I've tried updating the BIOS, upgrading from the Intel stock fan to an high end Noctua one, cleaning my PC, reseating the CPU and reinstalling the thermal paste. I did previously overclock my CPU but I've reset a while ago and the speeds are back to base speeds. I've monitored the temperatures and the temperature at shut down is around 50 degrees celsius. I have remounted my CPU cooler and I don't think that's the source of the issues.

What component do you think is the source of the problem? I've replaced the fan so that's ruled out, so I'm thinking that it is either the mobo, cpu or psu.

Not sure of that. I 'll give it a look.

EDIT: I just looked at my PSU and the centre of the fan is orange, completely corroded. I believe the computer had been shutting down as a result of a overcurrent protection or over voltage protection. Where do I go from here?
