Hello!

I'm trying to connect my speakers to my PC but I don't get any sound. The problem is that the motherboard's audio jacks don't show up anywhere. Not in the device manager, not under playback devices in the sound settings. I tried to download the high definition drivers from the Realtek website but it didn't work. The only thing that shows up under playback devices are the HDMI ports of my graphics card. And I'm able to get audio from them. How ever I want to use the line out jack and connect my speakers, not listen through the television. Do you have any clue what might be wrong?

Motherboard: Asus x99-A II
OS: Windows 10 64-bit

/Jens

Solution
I solved it! I went into the BIOS settings by pressing F2 on start up and then F7 to go into advanced mode then I saw that the HD audio controller or whatever it was called was disabled. So I enabled it and now it works! Woohoo!
