Overclock BIOSTAR H55 A+ v6.3 + Xeon X3440 2.5 @ 3.8 GHz

Solution
90C is too high. You need to either reduce your voltage/overclock or improve your cooling. If it's crashing due to overheating there isn't really much you can do other than cool it better. I would aim to not pass 75C under load

Every CPU is different, there are no magic settings to put in for a guaranteed OC, it might just be that your chip isn't capable of running at that speed.

To overclock a Lynnfield CPU like your X3440, you'll want to adjust the base clock (BCLK). Given that the X3440 uses a 19x multiplier (non turbo, if turbo boost is enabled it can go up to 20x/21x/22x when only some of the cores are under load and it is running cool enough), to reach 3.8GHz you'll need to set the BCLK to ~200MHz. This sort of speed will almost certainly require you to tweak the voltages and memory timings of your system too to get it stable.

If you're new to overclocking, you might want to have a look at some guides, such as this one: http://www.masterslair.com/how-to-overclock-intel-core-i7-i5-i3-cpu-overclocking-guide

These are my BIOS settings:

I reach 3.8 GHz, but it's unstable because games crashes after a few minutes getting temps near 90 ºC. Any advice?.

PD: My cpu cooler is uphere:

Just to add on this, i just bought x3440 and i did easy stable 3.8 Ghz on 1.3V, didnt fiddle more, was satisfied with temps up to 70-75*C when using cinebench, but around 60*C when gaming (pubg-dota2), using 12$ ebay cooler (bit loud but gets the job done nicely)
I'm pretty sure i could go down with Voltages, but temps are fine and i want to keep it stable (this pc is in my gamer caffe) and also pretty sure i could go higher, but again dont want more temperature than i already have, and i got bored of restarting and fiddling with settings, RAM freq were giving me a headage, im at 19x and 200blk, turned off couple of intel-auto settings, and its blasting away games with 0 problems ;)

Going from stock 2.5 (with turbo on) to 3.8Ghz without turbo gave me 30fps increase in DOTA2 avg framerate ;) 20fps more on min. and 40fps more on max. Overclock well worth it, also my first OC ever ;)
It performs bit better than G4560 if you are wondering, blasts it in Dota2, but in pubg pentium beats it by 5-10fps in avg, but xeon gets around 15-20fps more on minimums
