So I am not tech savvy (not stupid just ignorant if possible solutions)

My business is two doors down from my apartment. I need to extend my wifi signal to my apartment... Through two brick and stone antique buildings.

Do I need a WiFi extender, an antenna for my laptop or both?

Be kind to the newbie

Solution
I am going to assume you tried it and you get no signal. There really is to solution to stone walls eating the signal. Any form of repeater would either not be able to send its signal though the wall or it would not receive the signal. The power of WiFi is legally limited and most equipment already runs at the legal maximum so its not like you can get a more powerful router.

The only way is to in effect put a hole in the walls. You could use outdoor point to point bridge equipment. These are connected via ethernet cables on both ends. You still need clear line of sight between the units. Look at ubiquiti equipment as example.
