Hello,

I was able to get the zotac GTX 1080 Ti founders edition for a really good price. Having also bought a 4k Monitor recently, I can hardly wait to get into 4k gaming.

My build right now is(haven't put the new card in yet):
i7 4770k non-OC
16 GB DDR3 Kingston Hyper X RAM
MSI z97 SLI Krait Edition(my older Gigabyte board died on me just recently)
Asus Strix GTX 970
1x 850 EVO 250GB
1x 2 TB WD Blue
and a pretty crappy 600 W PSU.

I heard for a GTX 1080 Ti that a 750 W PSU is optimal. I'm not planning on doing things such as OC or something, so this might be overkill?

So basically, I'm looking for a decent ~$100 750 W PSU. What I found was: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Modular-Warranty-220-G2-0750-XR/dp/B00IKDETOW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1495309318&sr=8-1&keywords=EVGA+220-G2-0750-XR

Since I don't want to do any OCing and I will likely update Motherboard, CPU and RAM(which should run more effeciently) in 2018, are there other options with a better value?

Thank you!

Corsair Vengeance 650w , plenty of QUALITY power , no need for 750w.

A lot of power supply companies, when they put a word like "Vengeance" on the side of their units, it's really just wishful thinking and they don't have the guts to really live up to the name. Corsair just showed us that is most definitely not the case this time. There's something wrong with the entire market if these things don't sell like hotcakes in their native market. The sheer amount of performance and build quality you get with this thing on just under $80 given the competition is mind boggling.

The Good:

mythic level average voltage stability
excellent ripple control
Gold and Silver efficiency most of the time
well priced

The Bad:

I got nothin'

The Mediocre:

not fully modular... I guess...

Performance (40% of the final score) - I have to admit I was totally not expecting the level of performance we found here today. Efficiency was promised as Bronze. We cleared Silver and Gold numbers instead, much of the time. No points come off there. Voltage regulation was off the hook stable in the hot box at 0.5% on the dot. No points come off for mythic level regulation. Finally, we saw excellent results across the board in the scope shots, too. With no other tests showing any issues at all, this unit gets itself a well deserved... and rare these days... 10.

Functionality (20% of the final score) - about all I plan to do here is yank half a point for the semi-modularity... only fully modular units walk away with a clean slate there. But I'm stopping right there, because Corsair pretty much nailed everything I can think of that this market segment is going to care about. 9.5.

Value (20% of the final score) - this is not a North American model, unfortunately, so I'll have to go overseas to the first website I can find with this listed. Alternate.de has these listed for 69.90 Euros. That's $78.67 US dollars to you and me. This makes it cheaper than Corsair's own CX600 there, as well as the EVGA 600B, Antec HCG 520W, and Seasonic S12-II 620W. It is the same price as the BeQuiet Pure Power 9 500W and a few others in that power range. You know what? Nothing at this site competes for that money. Corsair's just crushing it in this area. 10.

Build Quality (20% of the final score) - looks like we're running a 10 here too.

Good choice. I have the 850 G2 myself. However, I would get the newer model: EVGA SuperNova G3 750 since it is the same price (If it is much more expensive, just get the G2). But even for an overclocked system with a gtx 1080 ti, 750W won't really be necessary. It is more about efficiency since pc PSU is most efficient at around 50% load. So let's say your system consumes around 400W while gaming. A 650W PSU would be more than enough, but a 750W unit would be more efficient.
