Hi, I just bought a new dedicated graphic card so my integrated would have a friend. So my question is: can i have them both working at the same time? (I have 1 monitor).

Solution
Why would you care if you only have one monitor? Unless you're running an AMD APU, you cannot use the two in conjunction with each other, nor can you readily switch between the two.

Hello... Yes you can... IF you have the "BOTH" listed in your MB BIO's for a setting. IGT-ext PCIe-BOTH and add a 2nd Monitor to the MB video connector... also you can add a 3rd monitor to your main GPU and have a 3 monitor system... The Win OS app will allow you to 'add" pixel real-estate around your main desktop... OR just clone the main display too.

Above poster is correct, but maybe you want both for more horsepower? With AMD you can run hybrid crossfire and combine APU +GPU power, wouldnt really recommend it since it doesnt help that much and only works with certain lower range cards. Last I heard APUs could be combined with a R7 250 or 250x if Im not mistaken, posible but I just dont think its worth it
