ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 1600 LGA 1150 Motherboard B85M-G R2.0

my good board quit on me. i have this one on hand until i get some extra cash.

I read that my 4790k and gtx 1080 card will fit in it....can i get it to work for a month or so?

everything i read said yes on cpu but the gpu wasnt really listed. i also have 16gigs of ddr3 1866 ram but i should be able to get it working if clocked to 1600?

You might also experience motherboard driver issues with a different motherboard.

I am going to try and remove all drivers and things ahead of time so when i put in new board it reads and resets. i have done it before and know its can sometimes not work...hoping it does.

From what I understand, Microsoft is pretty good about keeping your legit license if that's a problem.
I've heard you should register (?) your copy of Windows by authenticating it with your MS account prior, if you haven't already. Someone here can shed more light on that if you don't know what I mean.
