msi z97 gaming 7 - intel core i5 4690k not booting

hi
my pc won't boot up, when I press the power button, the fans start working for 1 sec then pc shut down
I removed everything from the pc even the memory and the case except (mb / cpu / psu) but the problem still occur

I replaced the psu but the problem still occur
so it seems like its problem within the mb or the cpu

motherboard: msi z97 gaming 7
cpu: intel core i5 4690k

any 1 know whats wrong or how to fix it ?

Try the breadboard trick, build the system out of the case, just essential parts, motherboard, cpu, psu, ram, heatsink and graphics card, try that, its to narrow down shorts that the case maybe causing.

sry if this line wasn't clear enough (probably because of my bad English) but when I said "I removed everything from the pc even the memory and the CASE except (mb / cpu / psu) but the problem still occur"
I meant that I alrdy tried building my system out of the case with nothing connected except for motherboard and processor and power supply

Oh sorry, you have a dead part on your hands then, I would say, power supply or motherboard as a dead cpu would still allow the system to power on, it just wouldn't post.

make sure you did not get bent pins when you set the cpu in the socket ?? easy to do if not careful . all it can take is one

may try to start with out using the case switch ? [pop start with a small screwdriver or something ] to see if the case switch is not shorting or bad ?
