i3 3240 good upgrade?

Is i3 3240 good upgrade from my G630 dual core and will this I3 be a good match for my RX460?
will it run games like Rust ,GTA V ,BF4 ,BF3 ,DayZ?

When upgrading a CPU I always recommend moving up two steps or more:

Dual core (pentium)
Dual core with HT (i3)
Quad core (i5)
Quad core with HT (i7)

So in your case I'd recommend an i5 or i7. However, you will see some improvement in games with an i3 as it's clocked higher and it will pair well with your rx 460.

ik ,first off ,i5 is a bit expansive here ,as i need to buy a CPU for 70$ and cooler for 10$ ,while if i buy i3(its 35$) ,my old cooler will be good.And i think that I3 wont bottleneck my RX460.
