Hi, the following thread, http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/300870-28-enough, lists the following symptoms of having an underpowered PSU,

"Most common symptoms of an underpowered psu.
bad 3D performance
crashing games
spontaneous reset or imminent shutdown of the PC
freezing during gameplay
PSU overload can cause it to break down"

My system is a i7-3770, a Nvida 660 Ti and a 450watt PSU. When I am editing in Premiere the machine is hanging fairly regularly. I had a shop look at it and they diagnosed overheating. I am running the computer with the case off and it seems to be OK but wondering if it may also be an underpowered PSU.

The other thing that is Happening is I am getting fairly reqular visial coruption, generaly a windows gets messed up. This is making me think it may actualy the GPU.

Thr macjine is a Hckingtosh (i.e. a self build PC runnig MacOS X).
