My pc turns on for about .5-1 seconds then turns off. I took all components out leaving cpu and cpu fan and pc still is doing it. I just replaced the MOBO and cpu so im lost on what the problem could be i tested PSU with paperclip and the fan boots up. Any help is appreciated.

Solution

I took the MOBO out reinstalled... same shit... noticed a broken piece on the MOBO which shouldn't have any effect on it but idk... then I noticed bent pins on the CPU socket.... think I found my problem... thanks for the help MOBO lasted just over a month... I just smashed my old MOBO with a hammer because I was frustrated from all this shit

Maybe i'm confused what you're on about but they work together i've used for many years just experiencing problems now with fans turning on then turning right off along with the whole pc so it just won't start up i replaced cpu and motherboard when this was happening before and now its doing it again it seems like the MOBO but i just bought this MOBO new over a month ago

Antec 500W I have it plugged into the 24 pin connector i believe it is directly into the motherboard then the 4 pin CPU power, CPU fan, case fan, mini speaker, etc.

Yes I'm down to bare minimum CPU + CPU fan and 24 pin turns on turns right off.

I added RAM 1 stick and tried every slot... same response, no RAM no beeps.

Seems like its the MOBO right?

Yes I left all the power cords in the MOBO originally they're still installed the same as before when the PC was working
