So not sure what happened but night before last was playing fallout 4 and moding it a little using NMM everything played smooth and had no issues there out of no where my frames plummet and I figured it was just Bethesda so I'd restart but the pro lem persisted. I then began to go through my mods thinking that was the issue but after uninstalling all mods and even the mod manager I played a game of overwatch to see if it was proprietary to fallout but it ran smoother but still would crash to 30fps out of no where. My rig is only maybe a year old:
CPU: i7-6700k
GPU: Evga GTX 1080 Ftw
RAM: Corsair vergence 16x2
PSU: Corsair Rm1000x
Mobo: Asus z170-a
NZXT Kraken X61
I'm not sure what else to do now I've checked to make sure everything is up to date I reinstalled all the drivers I could. Temps are fine sitting at below 30C(CPU) and 50(GPU) thought maybe it was my water cooler gone out or something but it seems to be fine CPU hardly went over 27c so pretty sure it's fine there. I've been using CAM software to monitor everything but it's kind of unreliable sometimes and idk if anyone knows of a better software to use with the kraken? Not sure if it was placebo or not but almost seemed to run smoother before I reinstalled CAM. Not sure what else would help but please if you've experienced this or have any idea where I should start I'd appreciate it.
