Ok so I have a Dell Vostro 260 and have bought a GTX 1050.It fits inside but I just need to find out if it supports my bios.If not I will buy a RX 460.
MOTHERBOARD IS A DELL 0gdg8y.
Manufactured in 2011.Ask for any more info.

Solution
Generally speaking, any OEM PC with a PCIe slot should recognize a dedicated GPU. I would be more concerned about the power supply quality and capability over anything else. The 1050 has a 75W TDP in reference form that doesn't require an external PCIe power adapter from the PSU (I'm not sure about the dual fan versions).

Nvidia recommends a minimum of a 300W power supply. That's assuming a quality power supply that does not drop off in wattage under thermal load like most cheap ones do - meaning they output more like 200-250W under load.

300 wATTS

Well, you can try that GPU, but it's a gamble if that PSU is quality enough to run the card under loaded conditions. As I said, most OEM PC makers like Dell use really crappy power supplies that do not come near the maximum loaded wattage rating that they have listed on the side of it. They are only designed to the factory PC spec needs and any upgrades requiring more juice may cause problems. I would invest in a 400-450W PSU just to be on the safe side. Something like this:

I've done some research and apparently, 300 watts is fine according to Tech Deals on YT. He makes amazing videos. Check him out.

Good point.....

That looks like a Sandy Bridge era computer, ie pre-UEFi bios. So it might have issues with a 1050 tI. Since you didn't bother to include the make/model, there's no way for me to tell for sure. I advise you to contact whichever company that card comes from, MSI/Asus/etc, to ask them. Alternatively you can look on their website for any "UEFI" requirement, if there is one then it won't work on your computer.
