I've been watching benchmarks across youtube and so far the R5 1600x looks great for multitasking purposes, but just doesn't meet the i5-7600K for gaming, not by a lot though. However, i've heard more and more games (old and new) are starting to be optimized for ryzen cpu's. I would be pairing either cpu with a GTX 1060 6GB SSC, so i'll probably also overlock the cpu. I would be doing mostly gaming.
