My ASUS STRIX GeForce GTX 1050 TI Graphics Card doesn't boot and says it needs the 6 pin connecting to the PCIe cable. Is this normal or can I change something to stop it doing that?

Solution
If the card needs a 6-pin connector, it needs a 6-pin connector, there's no getting around it. And if your PSU doesn't have a 6-pin connector, which every competent, safe PSU you can buy does, I'd be throwing it in the garbage to return it to its natural habitat.
