I'd like to be able to stream my movies from my HDD (connected to the router) to my Samsung Smart TV and VLC on my PC. On my macbook and on my PC I can see the whole HDD, transfer thing etc. Everything works. But when I try to look for the shared content on my TV or with VLC (and Windows Media Player too) there one thing that happens. I can only see the Music folder and the Backup and Programs folder. I don't get why, I can't see my Videos folder nor my Images folder. I saw that when this happens the software visualize the HDD as, for example, NAS:1. There's that :1 that I don't know what it means (it can't be the port number), but when there's that symbol, I cannot see that folders. How can I solve this? What can it be? The hard drive is a WD Elements connected to an Archer D5 V2 (TP-Link).

My router has two methods for sharing 1) Share All: I share the full volume and it prompts for a user and password when I try to connect. 2) I can select the folder I want to share, and I can select which one are public and which ones are private. When I connect it doesn't asks for anything but I can only see public folder. If I connect with the user and psw I can see everything.
Now, I use method 2. I have only one public folder and it's empty, everything else is private. When I'm connected locally I can see everything without a psw. When I try to connect with the TV it doesn't asks for anything. I can see just half the private folder (Music, Backups, Games and Programs) but not the other half private folders (Images, Videos, Documents) and I can't even see the public folder. And that's weird. Same exact things happens with Windows Media Center, XBox and VLC. Even with Share All and without any password, the TV and the softwares can't see the folders.
I think the problem is the fact that all these applications sees the HDD as MEDIA_SHARE:1 instead of just MEDIA_SHARE. I need to understand what's that :1 and why this happens.

Thanks for helping me out.
