What should I upgrade next?

Specs:
I5 2320
GTX 750
6 GB RAM
500W PSU
I game, watch videos/movies, and do general school work on this machine, if anyone could help direct me towards which part I should upgrade to increase general performance? If you could give me a part recommendation that would be greatly appreciated as well!

You didn't mention what kind of hard drive you have. If it is indeed a hard drive, then I would suggest getting a SSD for your OS and Game of the month. It would make your PC perform like a new machine. Otherwise, you would be looking at a new build with all new components in order to get any real noticeable gains.

Yes, I have a 1TB HDD, so you would recommend keeping the OS and one game on said SSD?

That depends on your budget. the larger(and therefore more expensive)SSDs can hold the OS and more applications(games, etc). I am currently running a 128GB SSD and that suits my needs. You may want a 256, or 512 GB SSD. Again, it all depends on your budget.
