GTA 5 Display Problem

I recently installed GTA5, but when the game starts, i can hear the audio and see the map icon on the bottom left, but the rest of the screen remains black.
looking for possible solutions. Thanks in advance
my specs:
i7 7700k
Asus z270f mobo
8GBx1 corsair vengeance 2400
EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 SC
Corsair h100i v2 cooler
Corsair rm750x psu
My graphics driver is also upto date

Are you using steam to launch?

If so you can verify the game files in steam.

You said "there wasnt any option,but there was an error with the installation of the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages".

Find these exact packages and install them manually, or simply google which ones does the game require and download+install them.

Yes there are many editions of this package (visual c++), different edition every year and more so you need to find that specific one that the game requires. 1 more fact, for example, it is not enough to have the latest one installed, you still have to download a 2015 for example edition even if you have a 2016 version already.

now i never skip the installation of these small additional packages and .dll files - almost every program has them, because downloading and installing .dll files manually is really very frustrating..

Tried it. It says "update 3 requires a member of the Visual studio 2015 to be present or is blocked by another condition on your computer:".

Use this uninstaller first .

Then get these .
http://www.thinmanager.com/kb/index.php/Visual_Studio_2015_Redistributable_Installation

Then finally you can put update 3 on .

the setup required was the 2008 redistributable setup. I tried the setup that came with the game and also downloaded a seperate setup file, but everytime the same error message pops up- "ERROR 997. Overlapped I/O operation is in progress"

i was able to install the 2008 pack, but the game still has the same problem

Now you will need to run the redist files in the install folder of gta v

I did, now i ca see the characters and all, but it stays like that, the map moves, but the image stays still

The only other thing I noticed is it requires service pack 1 from windows updates.
