New Build - Odd Inconsistent Failures; PC Doesn't POST

I've just built up a new PC. I've built several before and never had a problem like this. First up, specs:

Mobo: Gigabyte H110M-S2H Motherboard - Socket 1151
CPU: Intel Core I3-7100
RAM: Corsair 8 GB Vengeance LPX DDR4
SSD: SanDisk SSD PLUS 120 GB
HDD: (Unplugged) WD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM
GPU: (Unplugged) MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
PSU: EVGA 600 W 80+
Case: Aerocool Aero-500

The Issue
So, the issues I've had. First off, the system powered up fine, motherboard lights and fans came on, but I was getting no signal to HDMI or VGA. The system kept running but no signal came through on several monitors, with both onboard graphics and on the GPU. At this point I unplugged the GPU and was having the same issues.

I got a replacement motherboard of the same type, fitted everything together and this time I'm getting a new issue. The PC boots, stays running for about 5 seconds, then shuts off for 5 seconds, boots up for 5 seconds, etc, never getting to POST or any screen output. I don't have access to a motherboard speaker and there isn't one built into either board.

Troubleshooting

  • ■The power switch connection in the case looked dodgy. I changed the case and the issue persisted, ruling out a grounding issue with the case as well.
■I tried another PSU (650w Corsair, I think), from a known working PC, again in a different case and the issue persisted.
■I checked the CPU was seated correctly and the heatsink properly attached.
■I moved the RAM to another socket, the issue persisted.
■I completely removed the RAM, hoping I'd get a response or signal indicating this. Both motherboards failed in their usual way.

I don't have access to other DDR4 RAM, but can try to get a replacement from Amazon.

Now it seems like there's only three remaining areas where the issue could be. The CPU is DOA, the RAM is faulty despite the issues being consistent between motherboards; or lastly, I've had two dud motherboards.

Does anyone have any insight or suggestions on this before I invest more time and possibly money into fixing it? All parts were brand new at the time of the build.

Thanks.

On the first board Your problem is the cables . Gtx 10 series do not carry an analogue signal so it will not convert hdmi into vga like the old cards .
You will need an active adapter to do this.

So how would I go about flashing the new BIOS version when I can't see what's even going on?

On the first motherboard (the one that stayed on) I used a 15 pin VGA connector and an HDMI cable. To clear the BIOS, I can just remove the motherboard battery for a while can't I?

You can't, not on this board anyway. The board must be able to post to update BIOS. Therefore you need CPU that is already supported - in this case any 6th gen SkyLake CPU should do.
