Hello! I recently built my own pc, everything is working fine except the GPU (GTX 1060) isn't showing on my device manager and it's using the integrated one instead. I have a MSI Motar B150 motherboard, iv installed all the drivers for the motherboard and updated them however when I go to install the drivers for the GPU it obviously says no Nvidia driver found. I'm a bit stumped here so any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

my psu is 750w as i plan on future upgrades, i plugged it into the PCI-E4 slot and it's recognising it, it's allowing me to download the GPU drivers oppose to before when it said i had no Nvidia GPU. It comes up in the device manager as Nvidia 1060! I think i might switch it back to the PCI-E1 slot now it works

iv just reinserted it there and checked over all the cables through the manuel, everything is in place but still no 1060 in the device manager, only the IGD showing still. It's in PCI-E1, should i try PCI-E4?

I dont think that'll work as nvidia cards only work on x16 pcie slots (that is the top most slot on most mobos). Usually the second pcie slot is x8 on most mobos unless u have a high quality mobo. How much wattage is your power supply (PSU)? If your PSU has enough juice to handle it then i think the only option left is to return the card or RMA it.

yeah iv just assumed the PCI slot is faulty, tried it with my old GPU and no avail, rather shocking as it's a brand new mother board but not sure i can be bothered to go through the hassle of getting a replacement and redoing it all.

If anyone else has the same problem, try another PCI slot, it works fine for me now
