So, I have been looking at a lot of threads lately, and I saw one that caught my eye. A better CPU than mine, being severely bottlenecked by a 1050 Ti. I have a AMD APU A8-5600K, while they have a AMD APU A10-7700k. Will my CPU be bottlenecked while gaming? Im mostly going to be gaming, and I don't have the money right now to be buying a new CPU.

i7 7700K=/=A10 7700K.
One of them is a high end Intel Kaby Lake CPU while the other is a mid range AMD Kaveri APU (part CPU part GPU).

An A10 7700K will be bottlenecked, but not severely. Again it depends on your usage case. An A8 5600K APU in all cases is like a 4 Core Bulldozer/Piledriver except lower clocked.

If resolution is low CPU works relatively harder, but still all CPUs will bottleneck given a low enough resolution. That build would be fine for AAA 1080p 30FPS+ gaming, and would just barely do 50-60FPS. At 720p you would expect better framerates, but the CPU would not let you hit 100+FPS unless it is a light game like CS-GO or Minecraft.

So, they're a good match?

IMO, yes. And there's no way the i7-7700K will ever bottleneck a 1050 Ti. You may have misunderstood the thread discussion. They may have meant the reverse; that the 1050 Ti was a weak card for the power of the i7-7700k.

Well, even if its IYO, its still good to hear that they wont bottleneck the shit out of eachother.

To ease some bottleneck at this moment you may want to overclock your A8's CPU to a high clock rate then the A10's as the difference only lies in the GPU portion within the APU.

A clock of 4.2 GHz on your Trinity APU CPU cored will net you similiar performance to a stock FX 4300. That you may need about 1.4-1.45V to hit those clocks as these APU cores do not scale as well with voltage. Keep temperatures below 70°C when overclocking.
