Hello everyone!

I know there are a bunch of other posts out there with the same/similar problem, but after spending just about my entire day reading over them and trying the suggestions, I have yet to get an internet connection on my newly built PC.

I built my PC and after installing Windows 10, everything seemed to be running fine except one thing, I couldn't get an internet connection. I'm connected through an Ethernet cable (which works when I plug it into my laptop, the wifi is working on other devices as well), but my network says "unidentified network" and when I troubleshoot the problem found is ""Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration."

I've tried a number of "solutions" after searching the internet for hours, but nothing seems to be working. I've tried:
- unplugging/resetting the modem and router
- installing the all-in-one driver set for my motherboard
- installing only the LAN drivers
- ipconfig command prompt networking commands
- turning off the firewall
- setting a static IP address/changing it back to automatic
- turning off IPv6
- changing "Speed & Duplex" settings
- reinstalling the operating system
- resetting network settings
- updating the motherboard BIOS

None of that has worked so far.

Does anyone out there have a fix, or any suggestions?

These are my ipconfig /all results:

Solution
I solved this issue!

I don't have a disk drive installed, so when I went to try to install drivers I downloaded drivers from the manufacturers website for the correct model. For some reason though, those drivers didn't work so I spent hours looking for other solutions.

The solution all along was the driver disk that came with the motherboard. I copied the drivers from the disk with another computer onto a USB and installed them from there.

I'm not so sure why the drivers I downloaded from the actual manufacturers website didn't work, but I'm just glad the issue is solved.
