Hello,

I'm making a desk, which i can basically describe as a simple box. I want to mount my pc inside the desk, so that it isn't visible. The hardware of the pc is:

Mobo: Asus P8B75-M LX plus
CPU: Intel core i3 3220
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD7750
PSU: Corsair CX500M 500W
Hard drives: Samsung 840 SSD 2.5"
Western digital 3.5" harddisk

Would it be possible to mount this in a place with dimensions 70 cm by 9.4 cm/ 27.5 inches by 3.7 inches ?
On one side of the box I can make a lot of big slots, this will be the botom and therefore not visible. But with only openings on one side, Will it be possible to cool the pc properly? And how should I do it then?

If this is all possible, then how would I mount this pc on wood? It is currently in a case, so maybe it would be possible to get some brackets out of the case?

Thanks in advance.

I've seen some custom mods done like that. If you do decide to do this, probably the best thing to do would be to strip your case (or a cheap generic case) down to the bare frame and then build around that. If you don't want the frame, you would have to secure the motherboard and the hard drive in such a way that the motherboard and hard drives are secure and wouldn't move. It might take some creative welding or mounting to do that.

my computer desk might do the trick:

the cpu tower fits in a hole in the middle of the desk

Its an early 2000s design from staples, No longer being made, but if you're building one, you could do something similar
