I was recently talking to supprt about a game that runs poorly and the person told me that my CPU is overclocked. This is news to me as I've never tried to overclock my CPU.
In the DxDiag report it says "Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.9GHz"
Similarly in "Control Panel>System and Security>System" it shows both numbers under Processor.
I've reset my BIOS as I'm told that will reset factory clock speeds but the 3.9 GHz figure is unchanged.
Is anyone able to shed some light on whether the CPU is in fact somehow overclocked, and if so, what else I can try to reset it back to defualt?
Thanks in advance!
