So i built a gaming desktop for around $1600. My buddy came over and accidently dropped a cup on the power button (no liquid...dry cup). Shut off the whole system. I tried to restart it and it failed like 3 times. 4th time the PSU turned on button nothing else. I was told a voltage regulator had been fried. So about 3 months pass and i got another PSU. Put it into the computer and it didnt start at all. Tested it on another computer and then checked out my computer and realized id forgotten to plug in a part. I plugged it into the computer again and flipped on the switch and the PSU died with a very sharp bang and a spark from inside the assembly. Did this destroy all the rest of my connected components? I have no clue on how to test them to find out.

Take your computer to a local shop, tell them exactly what's happened so far, and have them put in one of their spare PSU's after taking a good long look at everything inside the computer. There could be a short somewhere inside the computer that you haven't noticed.
