I'm looking to replace my graphics card in the near future and my specs are,

CPU: AMD FX-6350 Vishera 6-Core 3.9 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W FD6350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE DUAL-X Radeon HD 6970 DirectX 11 100314-4L 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard.

what I need to know is are my parts compatible if I replace my Graphics card with a MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GTX 1060 ARMOR 6G OC 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready ATX Video Card.

If you can help thank you and otherwise have a good day.

Solution
Absolutely you can. I'm not sure if the FX-6300 will always be able to keep from bottlenecking the 1060, but you can always plan on CPU upgrade to the FX-83xx processor in the future.

Agreed. You won't see much bottle necking there and if you wanted you could go with a rx 580 instead and a free sync monitor this would be s much better option. I wouldn't bother with upgrading on that mobo. I would look at either going to last lake or rysen.

Hi
I'm running the same mobo and cpu @4.6ghz oc with the Zotac gtx 1060 6gb amp and is running good.
The other 2 guys might know a little more about my 3dmark firestrike score which the last I checked was 9229.
It runs T C Ghost Recon just fine on a 650 watt psu it only pulls 120 watts.

Sounds about right. My 3.2GHz Xeon W3670 (6C/12T) and GTX 1060 3GB garnered a 9893 score in Firestrike.
